THE WILDLIFE SOCIETY - BRITISH COLUMBIA CHAPTER
2ND ANNUAL CONFERENCE AND WORKSHOP
2nd Annual BCTWS Conference & Workshop
Our Future Together - March 3-5, 2022
Call for Abstracts
Deadline: Jan 14, 2022
CALL FOR ABSTRACTS: The BC Chapter of The Wildlife Society (BCTWS) is holding its 2nd Annual Conference on March 3-5, 2022 in beautiful Prince George, British Columbia! Please note that the BC TWS Executive is still working out the details to bring us together for this in-person event. Once the venue booking in PG has been confirmed more information will be shared (e.g. venue location, group hotel rate options, etc.)
The purpose of BCTWS is to build a community-of-practice for wildlife biologists in BC, bringing together students and professionals from academic, government, industrial sectors with First Nations and an international community of Wildlife Professionals. Building on the success of our first meeting, the 2020 Conference will concentrate on bringing together students and professionals from around BC to meet, interact, and share information about provincial research, current and changing issues, and emerging challenges. With these items in mind, we have selected a conference theme of Our Future Together. The Conference will feature a keynote speaker, panel discussions focused on emerging changes to wildlife management in BC, and of course contributed oral presentations and posters.
We invite you to submit your abstracts for either an oral or poster presentation on topics of wildlife ecology, management, conservation, education, or policy. Abstracts will not be published, so we encourage reports from the author’s most recent scientific investigations and management experiences. Again, the theme for this Conference is Our Future Together so please try to highlight opportunities for collaboration and partners in your work. Poster abstracts incorporating this theme are especially encouraged.
Deadline: January 14, 2022: end of day.
