CSTWS Travel Awards for Students
We encourage Canadian Section student members to apply for the following travel award.
CSTWS Student Travel award to present at the joint Canadian Section/BC Chapter TWS Conference in Victoria, BC March 30-April 1, 2022. Posted Dec 31, 2022.
Deadline 20 January 2023.
Travel Awards will be $500 each. Successful applicants will be asked to provide a short note for the CSTWS Newsletter describing their trip.
Eligibility. Applicants must:
Although a student’s paper/poster must be accepted for presentation by the Program Committee to receive the Award, students should apply for the award prior to being notified by the Program Committee of abstract acceptance.

- Not have received Canadian Section Travel Award support within the last 12 months.
- Be a current member of the Canadian Section.
- Be a current student or recent graduate (degree received within the last 12 months)
- Be senior author and presenter of the accepted paper or poster.

- Completed application form signed by student and advisor (scanned); see below for application form
- Statement outlining total, expected conference travel expenses and sources including those requested from the Canadian Section.
- Abstract of paper/poster that was submitted to the Program Committee.
